SugaRush Beat Company are set to release
their new single “Love” on 2nd June. It’s
taken from their eagerly awaited debut album L.O.V.E. which
has already established itself as a firm favorite in their
live sets and on its performance on Late With Jools Holland.
With its stabbing brass section and a climating middle 8,
and entriguing interplay between the two vocals parts. L-O-V-E
is the perfect anthem to kick off the summer. The three
members of the SugaRush Beat Company are Jared, RasHsann,
and Ida and this debut single is a mixture of elasticated
grooves, dark beauty and multi-layered psychedelic funkl
THEY have already been compared to Mavericks such as Prince,
Gnarls Barkley and Outkast.
When As I Am, Alicia Keys’ third
studio album was released in November, it enjoyed one of
the largest first week sales for a female artist in America
and the largest ever for any R&B artist in history.
While in the UK, As I Am has gone platinum. Alicia Keys
forthcoming summer tour includes taking in some UK tour
dates and the release of the third single from the album,
which will be called teenage love affair. Out at the beginning
of June, and it’s already getting fantastic rave reviews
with its breezy retro soul pop backing. Teenage Love Affair
is an infectious track to keep your eyes open for.
Pretty Amazing Grace is the focus track
from Neil Diamond’s new album Home Before Dark. It’s
already getting massive amounts of airplay across the UK,
and has caused quite a stir amongst his massive UK fan base.
Neil Diamond will embark on a long-awaited world tour, beginning
in May, featuring three nights at the O2 Arena in June.
This single and the new album will be available on 12th
May.
Fresh from the Top 40 success with Young,
Free And Simple, URBNRI are set to follow it up with a new
single called back me up. They were blown away with the
level of support for the first single, which went Number
1 in the Scottish and Indie chart. Back Me Up is the new
single which is set to have your radio pumping when it’s
released at the end of May. Also on the 26th May, Hayley
Sails’ “Keep Drivin’” is a new single,
which is a summery song which should make you smile from
the forthcoming album Sun Seed which is due out in August.
For the R&B fans, Heartbreaker
is the second single from Will.I.Am. Songs About Girls features
a breakout cameo from Sherryl Cole from Girls Aloud. They
hooked up last year in LA, when Sheryl was filming her ITV
show The Passions of Girls Aloud. Will.I.Am invited Sheryl
to perform in his video and do some vocals on this track.
Within a week of its appearance, the video clocked up 3
million views on YouTube and it’s set for big things
when it’s released on May Day.
